Imagine that you become ill on a hiking trail and cannot walk back to safety. Or, you have fallen from a horse in a remote area and have severe injuries. Or, there is a wildland fire in a mountainous area with poor access.
The former 1980 GMC that ran as Brush 607 was sold to a private individual. However, the pump, tank, and other components live on as part of "Unit 6" at Bill Scott Racing at Summit Point, WV.
The Aldie VFD is proud to announce that the former Engine 607 has found a good home with the Haysi VFD in southwest Virginia. This vehicle served our community well, and we hope that it serves their community as well as it served ours.
