This morning we loaded two pickup trucks full of fire hose, tools, EMS and fire equipment, personal protective equipment, and other items that will be delivered to fire departments in NC, TN, and/or SW VA who lost everything in the floods

We have been in their exact situation, having lost most of our equipment and a fire engine when Tropical Storm Agnes struck our fire station and community in 1972. Floodwaters from Little River were 5.5’ deep in our station during that flood. It was from the help of other volunteer fire departments and citizens from throughout the DC Metro Area that got us on our feet again, and we are glad to pay it forward to others.
Apparatus Solutions, a vendor whom we deal with, is arranging the transport of the equipment from Brandy Station to the folks down south.
